Problems with Avast and Perfect Uninstaller?

Perfect uninstaller

My free-trial with Avast expired, so I’m trying to uninstall it to get a new antivirus program, but Avast doesn’t show up in the Control Panel, and it won’t uninstall by itself.
So, I downloaded Perfect Uninstaller to get rid of it. It located Avast, but whenever I try to uninstall it, once it gets to the part about Registry keys, a window pops up saying it can’t because it’s not registered. I got the free trial, so why is it telling me this anyways?

So I need help on both getting rid of Avast and doing something with Perfect Uninstaller. Please help?

Chosen Answer:

Get rid of Perfect Uninstaller, stop using that program. If you want a similar uninstall then use Revo Uninstaller. This is free to use but for removing Avast, use Avast Uninstall Utility instead.

‘Sometimes it´s not possible to uninstall avast! the standard way – using the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS in control panel. In this case, you can use our uninstallation utility aswClear.’

You have to turn off the Avast self protection module.

    Then it will uninstall.

Start > search > all files (including hidden ones)…search for Avast, Alwil….those are Avast….delete anything that comes up associated with it….

You can always go to Avast Home page and download the Uninstall tool also……..
